Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and versatile individual to join our small but growing financial planning business. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in assisting our financial adviser by providing para-planning expertise while also contributing to various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with financial adviser to prepare SOA, ROA and strategy notes for clients.
  • Conduct research on Superannuation products, investment options, and insurance products.
  • Assist in constructing financial models and scenarios to support client recommendations.
  • Prepare and review client documents, including investment proposals and retirement plans.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal standards. Administrative Support:
  • Calling Super/Insurance product providers
  • Manage and organize advisers' schedules, appointments, and client meetings.
  • Assist in preparing and editing client reports, presentations, and correspondence.
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and communication, directing them appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate client records, databases, and online systems.
  • Assist in FDS production and generating consent forms Other ad hoc administrative duties

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in paraplanning within the financial services industry.
  • Proficiency in financial software including Xplan, Wealthsolver, Xtools, and risk research.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements for financial planning.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing education and on the job learning
