Creating The Most Substantial ‘Freemium’ E-mail Service Provider
The Clients
The client is the owner of a web development company based in Marseille, France. The company provides online services for the local online French community such as hosting and maintenance of online forums.
The client contacted PrimeOutsourcing in July 2011 looking for someone who can develop and optimize a free e-mail service provider website, include a premium email hosting service that allows users to have a personalized domain, and transfer his database onto separate servers to secure premium email accounts.
The Prime Solution
In the same month, the client hired a Senior Web Developer from the company and gave our staff all the data needed to start the project and access to the former server so the data can be transferred to the new server. Our developer was also able to configure the server using Python and PHP; integrate Roundcube, Exim and Dovecot for maximum email functionality and security; and fix compatibility issues with Mozilla Thunderbird and Microsoft Outlook.
Our developer was able to establish a PayPal payment system for secure money transactions for the premium email accounts as well.
The Results
The project was finished in January 2012 and enabled premium users to register 10 personalized email accounts with a small monthly fee.
