prime outsourcing relief operations

Employees of Prime Outsourcing raised funds for the victims of typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan), which ravaged through central Philippines last November 08. Yolanda, which is the most powerful typhoon to have hit land in recorded history, left more than 5,000 people dead and destroyed or damaged the homes of four million. It had also obliterated vast stretches of rice farms and other infrastructures during its devastation.

PrimeOutsourcing Gives Typhoon Yolanda Victims Help

Prime Outsourcing’s fundraiser, which lasted for four days, generated P3,500 from its employees. The company, on the other hand, contributed P20,000 more, bringing the total to P23,500. The said cash donation was turned over to the firm’s partner organization, Red Cross. Prime Outsourcing’s relief efforts for those affected by typhoon Yolanda do not end in cash donations alone.

The company will kick off another donation drive next week, this time collecting in-kind donations, such as used clothing, canned goods and hygiene kits. Collected items will be handed to DSWD for distribution to the victims of typhoon Yolanda, who have evacuated and are staying in the tent city here in Manila, in time for the Christmas season.
