Last November 08, one of the world’s most powerful storms devastated parts of Central Philippines. Typhoon Yolanda (International name: Haiyan), which tore through the coastal villages of the region and destroyed about 80% of area in its path and knocked down electricity and communication lines, had killed thousands of people.
After the strong winds left and the water retreated, thousands of families were left without food, shelter, clothing and medicine. As of this writing, people who were displaced by the storm are in dire need of the aforesaid supplies.
Prime Outsourcing Extends Help
Prime Outsourcing has taken steps in an effort to extend assistance to the victims of typhoon Yolanda.
The company is raising cash donations that will be used to mobilize resources in the affected areas. From the management to the company’s employees, funds are being collected and in-kind donations, such as canned goods and other supplies, are also being gathered to provide relief to the survivors of the typhoon. Prime Outsourcing is also trying to reach out to its clients to ask for cash donations.
In order to make sure the collected funds will reach the victims of Yolanda, Prime Outsourcing partnered with Red Cross, which is one of the agencies responsible for mobilizing donations to the affected areas.
