Mountains, Marshmallows and Memories: Our First-Ever Company Camping Diary

Busy days are draining; sometimes, a little escape is a way to decompress. In a world where we’re often tethered to computer screens, buzzing notifications, and back-to-back meetings, a breath of fresh air is all we need to recharge and reconnect—not just with nature, but with each other. We at PrimeOutsourcing embarked on an exhilarating and stimulating two-day camping trip in the lush landscapes of Tanay, Rizal, last April 26-27, 2025.

That wasn’t just a weekend getaway. It was a chance to laugh like there’s no tomorrow, share stories under the stars while roasting hotdogs and marshmallows, and develop deeper connections with the people we work with every day. From misty mornings and mountain breezes to laughter-filled nights around the bonfire, this trip was a montage of precious memories that we’ll treasure for years to come.

Camping (1)

The Journey to Tanay, Rizal

The sun had just begun to peek over the horizon when the team boarded the ride to Tanay. As the team rolled through the winding roads of Rizal, each turn revealed stunning views like emerald trees standing tall and breathtaking scenery.

Upon arrival at Ellsworth Cabin, we were greeted by a campsite nestled amid a verdant embrace of nature. Towering trees offered shade like welcoming arms, and the crisp air was laced with the earthy scent of grass.

Trekking and Swimming

Time to start the exciting activities. Trekking was the first in line. Under the hot weather, the team wanders on the steep trail, going to the cave. It was tiring, but running out of breath was worth it because the rock-chambered cave was captivating.

The opportunity was there, and the team didn’t waste a single minute and dive into the cold and refreshing water of the cave. These are the moments worth cherishing.

CAMPING (3)

Campfire, Drinks, Marshmallows, Singing, and Stories

When the sunset and the air turned cool, it was the best part of the day, when everyone settled in front of the campfire, roasting hotdogs and marshmallows, drinking light beverages, and sharing stories and cracking up while some were singing songs and just enjoying the vibe and the comfort.

The night ended with so much enjoyment. Some settled inside the cabin while others set up their tents. It’s an opportunity to share a bond with our colleagues beneath the tall trees and a calm, peaceful night. There’s something truly magical about being surrounded by nature and colleagues– where giggles echo into the night and make everyone build connections.

CAMPING (1)

Hiking, Horseback Riding, and Archery

Day two starts at the break of dawn. Some decided to go on a 10.3 km hiking trip. The trail led the team through narrow forest paths and rocky slopes. A panoramic sweep of green hills and blue skies made every aching muscle worth the effort.

For those who stayed behind, the adventure continued with horseback riding and archery. The thrill of holding a bow and landing arrows on target stirred excitement, while horseback riding was exhilarating, and taking a thousand-worth reaction picture in a crystal kayak. These slower-paced but equally memorable activities added to the variety and pleasure of the trip, catering to everyone’s taste for adventure.

Fun Activities + Important People= Unforgettable Moments

At all times, bonding is a way to establish a good relationship with colleagues. At PrimeOutsourcing, we give importance to activities that enable a healthy connection and work environment. It also reminded us that at the heart of every successful company is not just strategy or productivity—it’s the people. People who care, who listen, who laugh, who lift each other.

The camping trip reminded us of the value of stepping away from routine. That when we unplug, we often find the strongest connections. That sometimes, growth doesn’t just happen in a conference room but around bonfires, over shared meals, and thrilling activities. A heartfelt thank you to all who made this event successful. Your enthusiasm and participation truly made the celebration remarkable.
